Intro Transfer Student

NC State University is a diverse community of high-achievers, and if you're thinking about transferring, we'd love to have you join the Wolfpack family! More than one in four of your classmates transferred to NC State after starting college programs at other schools, so you won't find yourself alone when you enroll at NC State.

It's easy to find your place at NC State — the university offers campus tours, transfer information sessions and even online chat sessions with current students to help you decide if NC State is the right fit for you!

Transfer Students

NC State University is proud to welcome transfer students. In fact, more than 25 percent of NC State graduates started college programs elsewhere. Keep in mind that transfer spaces are limited and the application process is different than for other first-year students.

Transfer students can apply for entry April 1 for fall semester and November 1 for spring semester. You should complete any work in progress and make sure we have your transcripts by July 1 for fall semester applicants and December 1 for spring semester applicants. The deadlines for International Applicants are August 15 for spring semester and February 1 for fall semester.
