High School Students
Admission to NC State is competitive. While it’s never too early to start preparing your application, we encourage high school students to apply early in their senior year. By creating a wolfPAW account, you can build an online profile, find information about campus visits, open houses and tours, and get reminders about important dates.
To get started, review the admission process for freshman applicants or international freshman applicants. First Year Facts provides more information about this year’s freshman class.

NC State University is a proud inaugural member of the new Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success. Along with other leading U.S. colleges and universities, we are dedicated to making excellent college preparation accessible to all students.
The Coalition offers a free platform of online college planning tools including a student locker and an admissions application. Students can add information to their locker to store accomplishments throughout high school and then use those materials when applying to colleges in the future. Counselors can also privately submit letters of recommendation and transcripts the students can store in their locker and upload to their application when the time comes.
Students can invite counselors and mentors to collaborate with them on materials they may add to their locker including essays for their college applications.
