Submit the FAFSA

The FAFSA for the 2021-22 academic year opened on October 1. Students and their families should use their 2019 tax information to complete the FAFSA. The priority deadline to submit the FAFSA to NC State is March 1, 2021. However, we encourage students to apply as soon as possibly as grant funding is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

The FAFSA can be completed at studentaid.gov. NC State’s federal code is 002972. Students do not need to wait for an admissions decision to submit their FAFSA.
