Plan Your Day
at NC State

Step 1:

The first step in planning your day is determining where to start. Consult the parking map and determine the parking location near the event you would like to attend first.

Step 2:

Once you park, head to the welcome table closest to your parking area and pick up a program for the day. Make sure to keep your program handy – you’ll need it throughout the day to keep track of where everything is located. Your program also includes the schedule of events – you can pick and choose sessions to attend based on your interest.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Do I need to register for Open House?
While registration is not required, we would like to know that you are coming. You can register for Open House here or through your wolfPAW account.

Do I have to stay the entire time?
There is no set program for the University Open House, so it is not necessary to stay for the duration of the event. We recommend viewing the schedule and list of activities associated with Open House and planning your day accordingly so you can get the most out of your visit. While on campus, you can attend an information session, check out university dining options and residence halls, and tour our libraries.
Where does the campus tour start?
There are no formal campus tours offered during Open House as the entire campus, from classrooms to residence halls, will be open for you to explore. Open House students and staff will be available throughout campus to assist you in your exploration. Look for friendly faces wearing an Open House medallion.
What should I wear?
University Open House takes place both inside and outside on campus. We recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing and walking shoes.
Where can I park?
We expect a large number of visitors for Open House. In order to avoid heavy traffic, you have the option of starting your visit at one of five parking decks. If Central or North Campus is your first stop, you can park in the Coliseum Parking Deck or the Dan Allen Deck. If Centennial Campus will be your first stop, parking is available in the Partners Way Deck, the Oval West Deck and the Monteith Parking Deck.
Bringing a bus with a group of students to Open House?
Registration is not required, but we encourage your students to register individually. Bus parking is available in the gravel lot on Varsity Drive across from the Joyner Visitor Center and the McKimmon Center. Plan to have chaperones who are not also bus drivers. The bus driver will need to drop the group off at the Coliseum parking deck (201 Jeter Drive) on Main Campus or at the College of Textiles on Main Campus Drive on Centennial Campus at the bus stop depending on where the group would like to start the day. The drivers will need to park in the gravel lot on Varsity Drive until it is time to pick the students up again.
