SLATE.ORG – NC State Counselor Portal

Slate.org is a free tool for school counselors to maintain awareness of where students reside in the admissions process, and conveniently and securely submit materials directly to our office.

Counselors with Slate.org accounts can view their students’ decisions after they have been released and view their academic majors.

Creating an account
To create an account, visit the Register page on Slate.org. You can sign in directly using your school account, Facebook or LinkedIn.

Account verification can be handled by any colleague at your institution who has an active Slate.org account. If no other active accounts exist, the verification process will be handled by Slate.

When registering for a Slate.org account please consider the following:

  • Email address – Submit your organization/work email address rather than your personal address.
  • Title – Title of your position (e.g., Director of College Counseling).
  • Website/directory – Include a link to your school’s website where you can be confirmed as an active employee.

How long does it take to verify an account request?

The approval process can vary, but on average most accounts are approved within 1-2 business days. If you have questions or need further assistance with your Slate.org account, please email info@slate.org.
