Criminology and Arabic
Middletown, NJ

I am Kyla Talmadge and I am a Senior, double majoring in Criminology and Arabic with a minor in Forensic Science. I am originally from Middletown, NJ and recently moved here to Raleigh. On campus, I am extremely involved. I am the current President of the Society of Afrikan American Culture and the Vice President for DanceVisions Dance Company. I am also a University Ambassador, a part of a national honors society, a sociology honors society, and I have an on-campus job at the Joyner Visitor Center. Additionally, I have helped start a club on campus and I have studied abroad in Jordan!

Statistics
Knightdale, NC

I am Gabriel Montague, a junior from Knightdale, NC majoring in Statistics with minors in Spanish and Sociology. In addition to being an Undergraduate Admissions Intern, I am a College of Sciences Ambassador, a Team Lead for the upcoming annual Symposium for Multicultural Scholars, and the Director of Uninhibited Praise Gospel Choir. While I have not finalized my career plans, I do know I will be using my understanding of numbers and data analysis as well as my passion for people to grant more equitable systems whether it is in healthcare as a Biostatistician or in education as a Research Policy Analyst. Congratulations on your acceptance to NC State and I’m excited to be a resource for you all.

Nutrition Science

My name is Jessica Jones and I am a junior at NC State studying Nutrition Science. I’m from Red Springs, NC and I am Native American, part of the Lumbee Tribe. After graduation I’m planning to attend Optometry school and work as an Optometrist. In my free time I like running, reading romance novels and binging netflix. I look forward to sharing my experience and welcoming you all to campus.

My name is Iyanna Wallace. I am a junior studying Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Charlotte, NC. On campus, I am a member of the Black Student’s Board and the Psychology Club. I work in Undergraduate Admissions as an intern and I am an ambassador for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. I have participated in undergraduate research and gained real world experience through internships because of the networking opportunities here at NC State!
