Not long ago these NC State grads were in your shoes, going through the same steps to apply to college. Now, they’re making an impact on the world. Here’s a taste of what just some NC State alumni are doing:
Motion picture director
Matt Checkowski, graduate of the College of Design
in 1998, has worked with Steven Spielberg and
directed his own movie, Lies & Alibis.
U.S. Department of Defense employee
Dwight Williams, graduate of the College of Engineering
in 1992 and 1994, was named the Young Engineer of the
Year and now works for the Department of Defense.
Med school student
Nichol Brewer, graduate of the College of Agriculture
and Life Sciences in 2006, is now in medical school
at Wake Forest University.
NASA researcher
Tommy Sebastian, graduate of the College of Engineering
in 2005, is earning a graduate degree from NC State
and is doing shuttle research for NASA.
