prospective student visitation
NC State's campus visit for prospective freshmen includes the following:
1. An information session at the Joyner Visitor Center designed for prospective students.
2. A bus tour of Centennial Campus for students and their families interested in Engineering and Textiles.
(Seats are reserved on a first-come first-serve basis)
3. An hour long walking tour of main campus that starts and ends at Reynolds Coliseum (Dunn Ave. entrance). (Saturday tours begin at the Honors Village Commons on Dunn Ave.)
NC State's campus visit for prospective transfer students provides:
1. Information concerning transfer admission requirements and the application process, as well as general information about the University. The session lasts approximately one hour. (Admitted transfer students seeking information about course selection should contact their academic department. Other issues of concern to admitted transfer students will be addressed at New Student Orientation.)
2. We offer an hour-long walking tour of main campus following the transfer information session on Fridays. The tour will start and end at Reynolds Coliseum (Dunn Ave. entrance).
Saturday Visits
We highly recommend visiting on a weekday when our classes are in session and full information sessions are available. However, if your schedule will only allow for a Saturday visit we offer walking tours of main campus on select Saturdays starting at the Honors Village Commons on Dunn Ave. Total time: 60 minutes. Saturday tours are not offered during the summer.

If you are unable to visit during our regularly scheduled tour times, consider taking a self-guided tour. Please note the self guided tour is available as a smartphone app, basic cellphone audio tour or as a printed-readable tour. You can download the smartphone app for either the iPhone or the Android. The basic cellphone and printed-readable tour options and instructions are included in the printed-readable tour.
