Brittany Strachan
Whether she's shooting 6-for-6 on the free throw line or leading the ACC in three-point shooting (and claiming the fourth best mark in NC State history) her junior year, this 6'3" forward for the Lady Wolfpack women's basketball team listens to her parents.
"My parents have always told me, 'Student before athlete.' Brittany heeded their advice to always put academics first — and it shows. She's appeared multiple times on the ACC Academic Honor Roll. The computer science major is in her fourth-year on the team and interns at networking giant Cisco.
Brittany has a motto of her own: "Experience is the best teacher." With a no-holds barred approach to academics, sports and her career, it's a safe bet that Brittany's stats for the future will remain stellar.
