Admissions Criteria

Freshman Admission

Students who did not meet the Minimum Course Requirements in high school are considered transfer applicants.

Transfer Admission

In some cases, NC State is able to offer transfer credit for courses from military branch-specific academies and colleges.  Please use the links below, which are also searchable by state within the course equivalencies database:

GI Bill

NC State proudly accepts the GI Bill and offers approximately 50 Yellow Ribbon spaces each year.

Veterans Education Benefits Office

NC State’s Veterans Education Benefits Office serves the needs of Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, Veterans and their dependents and can answer additional questions relating to setting up GI Bill and payment plans.
