admissions criteria - college of design

Competitive applicants for transfer admission to the College of Design will have a minimum of 30 hours of transferable credits and academic credentials that exceed the following:

• English Composition
• College Algebra or pre-Calculus
• GPA requirement for consideration: 2.7+
• Portfolio or written material as requested by College of Design
• Complete application received by November 1. (Transcripts showing completion of at least 15 credit hours must arrive by January 15.)  New students are not admitted to Design for the spring semester. 
  

AP scores considered for meeting admission requirements:

• AP Calculus AB = 4 or 5
• AP Calculus BC = 3, 4 or 5
• AP English Language and Composition = 5
  

Please note that Design students take extensive studio courses after transferring, which will likely extend the length of time to meet graduation requirements.
