admissions criteria - college of education

Competitive applicants for transfer admission to the College of Education will have a minimum of 30 hours of transferable credits and academic credentials that exceed the following:
- English Composition
- College Level Math
- GPA Requirement: 2.7+
- AP Calculus AB = 4 or 5
- AP Calculus BC = 3, 4 or 5
*Note: Applicants for Mathematics Education and Science Education (including Middle Grades concentrations) must have 2 semesters of Calculus and 2 semesters of science for admission.
AP scores considered for meeting additional admission requirements for Math Education and Science Education majors:
- AP Calculus BC = 4 or 5
- AP Biology = 4 or 5
- AP Chemistry = 3, 4 or 5
- Physics C = 3, 4 or 5
- AP English Language and Composition = 5
*Note: The College of Education will contact applicants for Middle Grades - Language Arts and Social Studies Education to request a one page essay explaining their interest in the program. Elementary Education is not available to transfer students.
