This is Our State.

Okay, I am told that is not enough information for entire blog, but in my opinion it should be! As you should already know, of course I would write this on the first work day since gameday. It was during my Freshman year of high school the last time it happened, but after 13 straight disappointments, the NC State Wolfpack have topped the North Carolina Tar Heels. Not only was it a win, but it was an utter destruction of the middle of the road ACC team that is the Tar Heels. While the final score was a respectable 8 point game, the rest of the game was an absolute thrashing. The National and local media outlets, the message boards, and Coach Roy Williams have all made that clear. We beat them up and down the court, dominated in the post and scored 91 points on the Tar Heels. To put that in perspective, the Pack scored 97 against Miami of Ohio, 94 against (a good) UMass Team, and 92 against Saint Bonaventure. I arrived around 4 to get in line for the 7pm game and ended up in the 300 level. Last year I was front row for practically every game, but I was just happy to be in the building for this game. Wearing NBA Christmas Day themed jerseys, Lorenzo Brown, CJ Leslie and the Pack smacked the Tar Heels in the mouth at every opportunity.

Zo finished with 20 points and 11 assists, Calvin had 17 and 10 rebounds and the beast in the post finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds. He is a vacuum cleaner down there. The Rookie of the Week award goes to T.J. Warren, who dropped 19 points days after he retweeted Thomas de Thaey’s tweet that sent a gut wrench through many fans. This was one of the best games I have ever gone to, mostly because I could not believe what I was watching. I have many friends that call Chapel Hill home and not surprisingly, I have not heard anything from any of them. Go Pack!
