“The War Is On” Fall Concert
Post by Jasmine Roscoe
It’s the end of the semester and the holiday spirit is in the air! You can find decorations, holiday parties and so much more going on campus during this exciting time of the year. One of my favorite things about the holidays is a great concert. Luckily, one of the most popular student choirs held a concert right before the Thanksgiving holiday. The Uninhibited Praise Gospel Choir held their fall concert titled “The War Is On.”
Uninhibited Praise Gospel Choir, sometimes known as UPGC, has an excellent reputation on campus and in the community. The choir was founded in 2007 with only four members, and now has over twenty talented student singers who are also campus leaders. The Talley student center ballroom was filled with students, parents and families prepared to see the amazing show.
The concert began with performance by an equally popular and talented student organization: Dance Visions. The dance company started the show off with a lot of energy and got the audience prepared for the excellent show to follow. UPGC sang into the night and had the crowd standing on their feet. This concert was a great way to kick off the holiday season and I look forward to seeing more performances next semester.
